About
Born and raised in Peru, DJ Gary G was influenced by Latin rhythms, rock and roll, metal, and later EDM, Techno, Breaks, and Drum n Bass. He is a self-taught drummer and percussionist who started in 2012 with his unique style combining live percussion with DJing simultaneously using bongos, congas, timbales, and the Afro-Peruvian box. He has performed in major clubs throughout Lima and Peru, including Dragon, Sargento Pimienta, Centrica, Dali, Mute, Corona Sunsets, Victoria Bar, Toro Bar, and Bizarro, and has shared booths with notable DJs such as Claptone, Leonardo Gonnelli, John Acquaviva, Harvard Bass, and Ronan Portela.
