At Wedding Seeker, we believe in clear, honest communication. This Communication Disclosure explains how we communicate with you, what to expect from our vendor matching process, and how we work to ensure you have a positive experience.

By using our service, you agree to receive communications as described below.

1. How We Communicate With You

When you use Wedding Seeker's free vendor matching service, we may communicate with you through the following methods:

Email

We use email to send you vendor matches, service updates, planning tips, and responses to your inquiries. All important information about your matches will be sent to the email address you provide during registration.

Phone

We may contact you by phone to schedule consultations, clarify your wedding needs, provide personalized assistance, or follow up on vendor matches. You may also receive calls from vendors we have matched you with.

Text Messages (SMS)

With your consent, we may send text messages for appointment reminders, quick updates, or time-sensitive vendor match notifications. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.

2. Vendor Communications

When we match you with vendors, those vendors will reach out to you directly. Here's what you can expect:

Initial Contact

After we share your information with matched vendors, they will contact you via email, phone, or text to introduce themselves and discuss their services. Vendors typically reach out within 24-48 hours of receiving your match.

Limited Number of Vendors

To prevent you from being overwhelmed, we share your contact information with a maximum of four (4) vendors per category. For example, if you need a photographer and a caterer, you may receive up to four contacts from photographers and up to four from caterers.

Vendor Conduct

All vendors in our network are required to maintain professional communication standards. If a vendor communicates with you in a manner that is unprofessional, harassing, or inappropriate, please contact us immediately so we can address the issue.

3. Marketing and Promotional Communications

In addition to communications related to your specific vendor matches, we may send you:

  • Wedding planning tips and resources
  • Updates about new features or services
  • Educational content about wedding vendors and planning
  • Invitations to special events or promotions

You may opt out of promotional emails at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email. Please note that even if you opt out of marketing emails, we will still send you essential communications related to your active vendor matches.

4. Consultation and Audio Submissions

Our matching process is personal and intentional. To provide you with the best possible matches, we require one of the following:

Consultation Meetings

During a consultation call or meeting, we discuss your wedding vision, needs, budget, and preferences. These conversations may be recorded for quality assurance and to help us provide accurate vendor matches. We will inform you if a call is being recorded.

Audio Submissions

If you prefer, you may submit an audio file where you describe your wedding details in your own words. This audio is kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of understanding your needs and making appropriate matches.

5. Frequency of Communications

The frequency of communication will vary based on where you are in the matching process:

  • Initial Matching Phase: You may receive multiple emails or calls as we work to understand your needs and connect you with vendors.
  • Active Matching Phase: Once vendors have been matched to you, you will receive communications from both Wedding Seeker and the matched vendors.
  • Follow-Up Phase: We may check in with you after matches have been made to ensure your satisfaction and offer additional support.

6. Opting Out and Managing Preferences

You have control over how we communicate with you:

Email Preferences

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. You will continue to receive essential service-related communications about your active vendor matches.

Text Message Opt-Out

To stop receiving text messages from Wedding Seeker, reply STOP to any text message. You may also contact us directly to update your communication preferences.

Phone Call Preferences

If you prefer not to receive phone calls, please let us know when you register or contact us to update your preferences. Please note that opting out of calls may limit our ability to provide personalized assistance.

7. Third-Party Communications

Wedding Seeker does not sell or share your contact information with third parties for their marketing purposes. The only third parties who will contact you are the wedding vendors we specifically match you with based on your needs. These vendors are under contract with Wedding Seeker and are required to maintain confidentiality and professional standards.

8. Response Times

We strive to respond to your inquiries promptly:

  • Email Inquiries: We aim to respond within 24-48 hours during business days.
  • Phone Calls: We return calls within one business day when possible.
  • Vendor Matching: You can expect to receive your initial vendor matches within 24-48 hours after completing our intake process.

9. Changes to This Disclosure

We may update this Communication Disclosure from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or services. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this disclosure periodically.
